What is Yoga Therapy?

In yoga therapy sessions, I focus on you and your unique needs. I'm looking at you within the whole context of: who you are, what makes you tick, what motivates you, what lights you up. Whatever issue brings you to yoga therapy, you are not a problem that needs to be fixed. I believe that when you take the step to come see me, you're taking your next step towards feeling better and living a fuller and happier life.  

 

Each session starts with an assessment of what's present for you, looking at:   

  •  Functional movement 

  •  Areas of limitation and compensation

  •  Breath

  •  Levels of stress and fatigue

  •  Behavior 

  •  Overall demeanor

Programs build on your strengths to address any compensation patterns.  Regardless of your emotional or physical challenges, life-changing shifts are possible when you feel ready to grab the opportunity to grow.

I've learned that if I want my body to work for me for decades to come, a more grounded practice that accepts where I am and starts there is the way to go. KC
